In version 1.1 of Relic of the Viking, which is primarily meant to fix bugs in the game, I'm also experimenting with new things that will also be useful in Seven Cities, such as :
- Linux, Mac ports (hard). Maybe Android.
- multilingualism (not only adding the translations but everything that goes around it : A nice interface to choose the language, extended fonts, etc.)
- analytics. If the game connects to our website whenever it starts or whenever the player reaches a certain point then we can tell the number of people who play the game, and how many finish it, or other relevant things. (Please note: there's no plan on spying the players, i.e. uploading personal info such as their systems and such)
- Launcher. It would be nice to have a very simple program with a pretty image and a big "launch game" button, but more importantly an embedded web browser to display a pre-defined "latest news" page (from the Internet).

What's happening lately :
- We're considering being more cautious with Disney's Indiana Jones franchise, just like the Seven Cities of Gold team has announced they would be from now on.
- Tremulas and I have started a new work process where we plan on having a steady delivery pace regarding the planning of the story and rooms.
- In the upcoming week I'll experiment with Godot/Escoria to see if we can upscale from AGS -- but without putting too much effort into that. Staying focused on the AGS game.

With this let me drop a small announcement, we are indeed working on a short sideproject/demo/christmasgame/demo2.0 thing. We created lots of animations, characters, backgrounds and music that we can use for the full game, so when this little game is release you know what quality to expect from a full 7 Cities of Gold game.
Tremulas said 10th of January will be the release. I say, this is the aimed release date and won't settle on any date with the small game initally planned as a christmas game in 2018. I just hope we keep our steam and release something this month... HAPPY 2019, get busy!
