Indiana Jones and the Return of the Fan Games!

Well, towards the end of 2010 it looked slightly gloomy for the Indy fan game scene with two promising fan games - Crown of Solomon and Shade of Odysseus - seemingly dropping off the scene, but it looks like 2011 is shaping up to be the year of the return of the Indy fan games!

The Indiana Jones and the Crown of Solomon site is back up and running!  :D

There is also a recent post by Calle about the project on the site's forum.

Also news about Indiana Jones and the Shade of Odysseus is over in a post on the FoY forums.

The SoO site is still down right now, but is planned to be back up by next month.

I'm glad CoS is back and SoO will be back. I'm so hoping for a SoO Demo soon :) :hat:

There's this one now : http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=46285.0

(Indiana Jones and the Gold of Gengis Khan)

It's just one guy making it, so I expect the project to die miserably after a few months as we've seen many times before, but I sure hope we'll get a nice little game if the guy is persistent.

The problem with the Indy fan game scene is that there's too many fan games being developed independently. If people pooled their resources into one or two awesome projects instead (like Seven Cities of Gold  :D ) a lot more progress could get done.

jeancallisti:
"The Gold of Gengis Khan" has made neat progress. Look at those covers! And the little screenshots suggest that there is an actual game behind all that.
